HP+D provided rustication concept planning and detailing for the Arizona Department of Transportation for this interchange area in Tucson where improvements include retaining walls, bridge abutments, and median restoration in line with a placemaking theme for the character of the area. A geometric bird design was chosen to pay homage to the riparian bird habitats in the wash areas.
